The accident occurred on Monday night in a cabin on board the Viking Line ship - M/S Viking Cinderella who was on his way out through the Stockholm
archipelago.
No employee was scalded on the back after receiving water from a kettle over
himself.
- The accident happened in the cab with a kettle that passengers had with
him, said Helena Buckling, PR Manager at Viking Line.
SOS Alarm received the alarm at 21:20. An ambulance was called to the scene
and landed on the ship.
- I can confirm that we received an alarm of a vessel from the Viking Line,
says Sverker Pettersson at SOS Alarm's press service.
According to Helena Buckling there were also paramedics on board the vessel
which could provide assistance in place before the helicopter arrived.
The child was taken by ambulance to hospital in Stockholm. Damage Situation
of the child is unclear.
Viking Line Cinderella will find more detail on the circumstances surrounding
the accident.
- There will be an investigation into this, says Helena Buckling.
