Are you ready for luxury Viking Ocean Cruises 2015?

The new Viking Ocean Cruises shipping company, with capacity for 930 passengers, Viking Star was refloated on Monday, June 23, in a ceremony marking the latest milestone in the construction, before his baptism and inauguration. The traditional ceremony took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera on the outskirts of Venice, Italy.

Viking Cruises, a company with long tradition river makes these three vessels ordered the Italian shipyard, a commitment to provide its passengers, the Viking style but on cruise ships. The Viking Star will be the first of the "triplets" and will debut in the second quarter of 2015 maiden voyages through Scandinavia, the Baltic and the Western and Eastern Mediterranean.

"Today is a proud day for all our Viking family, as we are one step closer to launching a new era of ocean cruises," said the president of Viking Cruises, Torstein Hagen, during the ceremony. "The sale of cruises for the inaugural season of Viking Star ran out before the ship touched the water, demonstrating the enthusiasm of our guests to try the new boat. This enthusiasm has led to orders for two additional sister ships, Viking Viking Sea and Sky "perform.

According to the tradition of Italian shipbuilding, the ceremony of the "float out" (launching) is significant because it denotes a moving ship in its final stages of construction. Floating the Viking Star began at approximately 10:30 pm. local time, when the "godmother" cut the cord to the water begins to flow in dry dock where the ship was. After a two-day process where it will be in the Viking Star still floating, you will be transferred to a nearby dock for final weapons and design details inside the ship.
